Don’t have plans for the 4th of July yet? You do now!

Come represent the Kentucky Browncoats in the downtown Lexington 4th of July parade!

This will be our second 4th of July under the banner of COSPLAY FOR A CAUSE with the Western Kentucky Ghostbusters and the 501st (Star Wars). All three groups will be walking/riding in the parade together along with several movie/TV vehicles. There will be a 36′ flatbread trailer for those who want to cosplay, but cannot walk the parade route due to physical limitations, myself included. The parade walk is very short (less than half a mile) and parking is available at the end of Midland Avenue. Details will be given on signup. We will also most likely go for food afterwards, TBA.
Want more cosplay? Join us for our 3rd annual CSTS screening of SERENITY at the Kentucky Theater on Thursday, July 19th with 100% of the proceeds going to Equality Now and Lexington’s own International Book Project! Vendors will be on hand at 6pm and the doors will open at 6:30pm when we will have swag giveaways, start our raffles and silent auctions, and have a cosplay contest before the movie starts at 7pm. Then hang out after the show for the raffle and auction winners.

ALSO we’re looking at making a showing with Cosplay for a Cause in the Thriller parade for Halloween this year. So if you’ve ever wanted to cosplay a Reaver, we’ll need you!
